Flourish & Collapse:
Practices for Healing Through the Planetary Transition

In this sensorial installation, visitors encounter an ecosystem crafted for rest, community, and self-care, showcasing the symbiotic relationship between humans and non-humans as companions. While the previous activations of 'Flourish & Collapse' highlighted the supportive role of mycelium and edible Oyster mushrooms, this iteration focuses on the healing properties of lavender.

Revered for its therapeutic benefits, lavender offers solace, reduces stress, enhances mental clarity, and promotes restful sleep. With its calming effects on the nervous system, lavender serves as the ceremonial centerpiece of this ecosystem, supporting resilience, renewal, and grief-work, and guiding the imagination of continuity and care. Participants are invited to experience its benefits through sensory immersion, from inhaling its soothing aroma to savoring its essence in tea format.

Flourish & Collapse proposes a move away from the idea of linear progress and back into the circular nature of life, regenerative practices and moments of healing against the fear of falling from the edge of the Earth.
